Lourencinha Residence

Located in the elevated Lourencinha area of Câmara de Lobos, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment was designed as a study in modern serenity — a home where light, texture, and proportion work together to create balance. At Silkstone Design, we believe that interiors should feel both timeless and deeply personal, and this project embodies that philosophy.

The concept began with the natural setting. Framed by panoramic views of the Atlantic and Madeira’s dramatic mountain backdrop, the design sought to echo the surrounding landscape through an earthy palette of soft neutrals, natural wood tones, and stone-inspired finishes. These elements provide a grounding sense of calm, while clean architectural lines and a minimalist aesthetic ensure a contemporary sophistication.

The open-plan living and dining space is the heart of the home, conceived as a light-filled gathering place. Expansive windows draw in daylight, while curated furnishings and sculptural lighting introduce warmth and intimacy. The kitchen was designed as an extension of this flow — functional yet refined, with bespoke cabinetry and integrated appliances that blend seamlessly into the space.

Each bedroom was approached as a private retreat, where texture and lighting soften the geometry of the architecture. The bathrooms extend the narrative of calm, echoing the tones of natural stone to create a spa-like atmosphere rooted in simplicity.

Every detail was considered — from custom furniture selections to climate control — ensuring the residence feels effortless in both comfort and design. The result is a home that reflects Silkstone’s ethos: interiors that are modern yet inviting, curated yet livable, and always connected to their natural and cultural context.
